Chances are that you have a smartphone FULL of apps…some you use, most you don’t…grin. I LOVE apps because they give me the ability to simplify tasks, create stuff, entertain me, find me a great place to eat (or just FIND me…lol), and more!
I’m sure that, at one time or another, you’ve had the SAME thought that I have…”I wish I knew how to make a cool app like THIS!” But then we justify away the dream…it’s probably hard…and expensive…and I don’t know coding…and on and on!
But what if I told you it didn’t HAVE to be hard? What if I told you that a buddy of mine figured out how to make it easy? And what if I told you that, for a limited time, you can access the strategies for creating your OWN app for less than what you’ll pay for dinner tonight?
So you might be thinking…
“Great…another shiny object!” And perhaps you’re right…it could be. But this is ONE shiny object I’ve been paying attention to for a while now (yes…I have my own app in development!). I’ve been paying attention to apps for one simple reason…an app as simple as turning your smartphone flash into a flashlight sold over a million copies at $.99! Yeah…exactly!
This is worth you while to invest in while it’s available at the silly low introductory price…EVEN if you set it aside for now to focus on later! And to enhance your app skills even more, I’ve decided to offer one of my own, step-by-step app creation trainings at no cost for everyone who decides to jump on this opportunity!
Here is what to do next…

A Guest Post by Jeff Herring…
Content Marketing is a great way to build your online business. The problem is that most people who teach it stop at the point of creating content. While creating profitable content is essential, there is so much more you can do with your content. That’s why I expand Content Marketing into the 5 things you need to be successful online in any niche: content creation, online visibility, traffic generation, list building and product creation.
A funny thing happened along the way…
As some of you know, I never finished my Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy back in the late 80’s/early 90’s. Have you ever been told you could not do something? If you’re anything like me, that just makes me want to do it all the more, if for no other reason than to prove them wrong.
Except this time when some of my dissertation committee told me I couldn’t write well at all, somehow that got in, and I took them at their word.
So if you believe you can’t write, you don’t finish your dissertation and you don’t get your Ph.D.
So then in 1994 I started writing a weekly column about relationships for the local paper that filled my private practice to overflowing. I must confess that I did get a kick out of having a full practice while others with a Ph.D. were struggling.
Not too long ago someone from the dissertation committee signed up for one of my Content Creation Workshops. That’s a day we still celebrate.
As author Richard Bach says “Argue for your limitations, and sure enough they’re yours.” I like to say, and sometimes accidentally change Bach’s quote into “argue for your limitations and you get to keep them.” Same message that is worth taking with you.
Bottom Line: Be careful, be very careful, about the limitations others, and especially you, try to put on you… and which ones you believe.
So what’s to be learned from all this?
Here are a few learning points about writing and creating content:
1) As stated above, don’t accept, ever, the limitations others put on you. In fact don’t accept the limitations you put on yourself. They are often times just beliefs – a feeling of certainty about something. It can be quite fun to challenge those limitations and prove them wrong.
2) I probably still couldn’t write academically if you held a gun to my head. And, fortunately, I don’t want or need to do so. The great news is I don’t have to and neither do you. All you need to do is write conversationally. In other words, simply write like you talk.
3) Number 2 works because prospects are attracted to your voice. Not the audio sound of your voice, but the way you approach and solve problems. That is your voice, and no one else can deliver it like you.
4) If you can write a 5 item grocery list, you can create profitable content based on your own expertise. You can then turn that content into a powerful presence on the web and be found all over your niche, lots of traffic visiting your profit sites, build a highly qualified and responsive list community, and create profits by creating, marketing and offering information products based on your content.
The truth is I’ve been creating content to building my businesses, both offline (a thriving therapy practice from 1986 – 2006) and online (helping entrepreneurs build their online business with Content Marketing 2006 – NOW), since 1994.
And I want to bring those 18 years experience creating profitable content to you with this Webinar “How to Create Prospect & Profit Pulling Content in 20 Minutes or Less with Jeff Herring” on Thursday January 31 at 4 pm EST.

You know me…if there is a way to create new information products involving photographs or videos, I’m going to figure it out…and then tell YOU!
And my latest “discovery” is pretty freaking cool! I’ve figured out how you can easily shoot VIDEOS with your smartphone and covert them into Kindle Books. This method is PERFECT for “how-to” books, which are HUGE on Amazon!
The BEST news is that you can gain access to this brand-new training that I’ll be teaching LIVE for a simple $7 investment in a great new course called “Super Easy Books.” In SEB, you will discover some amazing methods for creating your first, or next, Kindle book…just like the guy who turned photos of his cat into a Kindle book that makes him money EVERY month (crazy, I know).
When you buy Super Easy Books through my link, you will gain access to my new training on creating Kindle books from Videos as a BONUS! But that’s not all you will be getting from me! You will ALSO gain immediate access to a great webinar training I taught a while back that shows you HOW to turn your Kindle book into a presentation that you can use to teach as a webinar, create video training and MORE!
I’ve ALSO, just today, added ANOTHER bonus to the mix and this one is HUGE! Last year, as a part of my PDX Success Track Group Coaching, I taught my students about publishing to Kindle. The first week we went through HOW to public to Kindle…the second week was an awesome and informative Q&A and the third week was focused on real-life case studies from some of my students. The students paid $497 to gain access to this training live as a part of the 10-week group coaching, but YOU are going to get ALL 3 VIDEOS from this training as a part of my bonus package when you invest in Super Easy Books!
The real-world value of my bonus package is easily $700…and you’re getting it ALL for just $7! WHY? Because I want to see you finally succeed with publishing to Kindle. It’s that simple!
Now…a couple bits of housekeeping…
if you have ALREADY purchased SEB through MY link and have e-mailed your receipt to me, you already have access to ALL the bonuses.
If you purchased SEB through someone else’s link already, you will need to purchase it AGAIN through my link (what’s another $7…seriously for ALL the BONUSES?) Share the second purchase with a friend or colleague! THEN…e-mail me your receipt so I can verify your purchase!
If you want ACCESS to ALL my bonuses, here’s what to do next…
1) Click this link and invest in your copy of “Super Easy Books.”
2) E-mail me a copy of your receipt to: tonysbonus [at] gmail [dot] com
I will verify your purchase as having been through the link aboveI
3) I will send you the access information for the BONUS webinar registration info and the other bonuses. I will get that info out to you in the next 24-36 hours! That’s it!
Tonight on the Expert Media Show, my weekly, no-cost webinar series, I will be sharing “Recipe Profit Strategies.” In this webinar, we will look at:

And, BTW…I’m NOT just talking about food here! This is going to be fun!
It was the first day of the new millennium and he greeted it by walking away from a $20 an hour job to start his own business. He had never been in business for himself before and the endless possibilities were exhilarating and exciting. The man had planned well for his departure and began his new business with a few prime clients in place. With hard work and perseverance, he replaced his previous salary within two years. Then the unthinkable happened. Like the orchestrated detonation of a condemned building, his business collapsed in 2002 due to a major shift in his industry. The bottom fell out and there was nothing the man could do to stop it.
His income dropped by 80%, and in spite of 13 attempts to go back to a “real job”, every opportunity fell through. Relying on food stamps to feed his family, his house in active foreclosure, the man knew there had to be another way. In spite of the bleak outlook, he knew he had made the right choice to start his own business. With a renewed commitment to himself and his family to find the answer he was looking for, the man continued to push ahead with a dream of something more.
Slowly, he rebuilt his business, saved his house and got off food stamps. But in spite of all his hard work and effort, the answer the man searched for alluded him. A year later, when a stranger’s comment reminded him of something he had forgotten from ten years previous, a spark of curiosity captured the man’s imagination with an idea of possibility. How could he have so easily forgotten a “miracle” that had saved his family once before? With little outside help and a lot of hard work, the man ventured into a brand-new marketplace with a vision for the future and his first book in hand. That was five years ago and that man was me. The discovery (or rather, re-discovery, was the Public Domain.
In the past five years, Public Domain content has changed my life. Through the products I’ve created from Public Domain content, I’ve been able to generate a consistent six-figure income every year. The reason why that’s so amazing and such good news for you is that the copyright laws haven’t changed and Public Domain content is more accessible now than ever before. And so I have decided that, in honor of my 5-year anniversary in working with Public Domain content, I am going to teach a brand-new series that reveals the blueprints I’ve discovered and developed to create profit-pulling products from Public Domain content.
In “Public Domain Blueprint,” I am going to reveal the best strategies, the best blueprints for turning the proven content from the Public Domain into laser-focused, profit-producing products using every media type available: Books, Serials, Patents, Government, Images, Audio & Video. You might think that I’ve shared all my secrets about the Public Domain, but you would be wrong. In “Public Domain Blueprint”, however, they all come out. I’m holding nothing back.
If you’re ready for the next level of product creation (and you’d like to get in on the fun at an 85% discount), click the link below and get ready to discover the Public Domain like you’ve never seen it before. Because I’m going to tell you what works and what doesn’t. Click below!
You’re at a conference and you see someone you recognize. Smiles flash and you rush together to exchange hugs and greetings. It’s been a while and you’re excited to see each other. During the course of catching up, your friend asks if you have a copy of their new book. “No,” you respond, “I didn’t even know you wrote a book! I’d love a copy!” They take a book out of their briefcase, open the front cover, and write a special note. You flip through it and express congratulations.
“So have you created any new products, lately?” they ask. You go on to share about your latest webinar series and e-book you created. It’s selling well and they are excited for you. And that’s when the awkwardness begins. You’d love to share it with them, but since it’s digital, you have to e-mail them the login information later, if you remember to. Even though it’s a great product, sharing a link with your friend feels impersonal. That night, you flip through their book and you think, “I need to create a physical book.”
I LOVE creating digital products…love them. They’re easy for me and can be sold any time of the day or night without my personal involvement at all. It’s the ideal product scenario…almost. Here’s the thing…even though I’m pretty prolific (I’ve created over 60 products), the products I love to show off the most are the physical ones! Why? Because you can actually SHOW them to people and GIVE them away. Of course, you can sell them too! The truth is that, as tactile humans, we “need” to feel the touch of things. It makes them more “real” somehow. And because of the “realness” factor, we assign physical products a greater perceived value.
Let me ask you a question…as a professional photographer, if I were to offer you a high-resolution digital copy of one of my photographs or a framed print, which would you take? You would obviously take the framed print because you can SHARE it easier with others. Visitors to your home would be able to see it hanging in your office or den and comment how amazing it looks. You could then thank them and share how it was a gift from your friend. Physical products establish a connection with your peers and audience that digital products will NEVER create.
I recently attended NAMS6 in Atlanta. David Perdew, the event creator, invited me to join the faculty and this was my first event. Knowing that I would have requests for business cards while there, I decided to do something different. I purchased greeting card blanks and envelopes at the local craft store and had 4” X 6” prints of some of my favorite photographs printed at Target. Using two-sided tape, I attached the photos to the blank cards and signed my name on them. On the back of the card, I pasted a shipping label that included my contact information.
At the conference, when someone requested a business card, I pulled out my 5” X 6.5” greeting cards and let them pick their favorite photo. People loved them! A few people asked for more than one. Now let me ask you…when is the last time someone asked you for multiple copies of your business card? Do you think my card will stand out compared to ALL the other business cards collected given it’s MUCH larger than the others? Sure it will! One last thing…David asked we all put our business cards in a bucket for prize drawings. Do you think mine card was easy for the person drawing the cards to find? You bet! I won a portable drive!
The point I want to make here is that, if you want to truly have an impact on your audience, you HAVE to create physical products! You should have a book at the very least. Now before you start thinking that making physical products is hard, I’m going to stop you right there because it’s just not true! Take my cards, for instance. If you can apply two-sided tape to a photo and position it on a blank card, you can make your own. That’s just one example of many…you get the idea! It’s only hard if you make it hard.
Just like with digital products, creating the “right” physical products requires good market research, the right tools and content! The selling process is also a bit different as well. Fortunately for you, I have demystified the process of creating physical products in my course, “Physical Product Success Secrets.” Over the course of four videos, I share a clear plan of how to create your own physical products. Video #1 covers the Mechanics of creating products. Video #2 dives into Research. Video #3 explores the different type of products you can create (and how), while Video #4 lays out how to market and sell those products. Did you know that with physical products, you can tap into a stream of 175 million “buying” prospects that you don’t have access to with digital products? Yep! I show you how in “Physical Product Success Secrets!”
And…by the way…THIS weekend (Labor Day), you can get started with creating your OWN physical products for less…I’ve discounted the course for the next 4 days! Finally, you won’t have to feel left out when you’re at your next family gathering, conference or event. Think about how good it’s going to feel to jot a note and share your product with a smile, knowing that you’ve just touched another person’s life. How cool is that?!
Here is the next strategy in our “30 Covert Strategies” series…
2. Publish E-Books. When it comes to e-books, I’m lumping all types of e-books into one description here. These would include PDF’s you sell or give away from your website, as well as e-books published for the Kindle, Nook, iPad and every other tablet and mobile device available now and in the future! While I love print books, the truth is that e-book sales are on the rise, and that’s not about to change. E-readers have changed everything. With the number of e-readers, tablets and smartphones already in use, plus more being purchased everyday, you cannot ignore creating and selling e-books…unless you hate money.
Selling your own PDFs created from Public Domain content is pretty straightforward since most word processors and page layout programs output directly to PDF. Publishing to the other platforms can present a few more challenges, but don’t let that stop you. Amazon offers excellent tutorials for publishing to the Kindle, as does Barnes & Noble for the Nook. Other sites, like Smashwords.com, enable you to publish to all the major reader platforms by supplying your book(s) in the EPUB format, the standard for most readers. The same book creation strategies I shared with Print Books apply here. As a matter of fact, I would HIGHLY recommend creating BOTH print books AND e-books of every Public Domain-based book you publish. There is no reason to NOT do that…unless you like leaving money on the table!
I’m writing a new series of posts that break down the BEST ways to profit from Public Domain content. To kick the new series off, here is Strategy #1!
1. Publish Print Books. You would think that republishing books from the Public Domain would be a no-brainer strategy for marketers to pursue; especially with today’s high-quality POD technology; yet few actually do it. Here are a few covert approaches to consider for creating print books from Public Domain content: Rather than publish existing books as-is, consider pulling the BEST content from topically-related books to create a “new,” more laser-focused book with you listed as the editor or compiler. CreateSpace.com (owned by Amazon) makes it easy to create and publish your own print books, offering templates and step-by-step instructions!
Alternatively, also consider finding related magazine articles from the Public Domain and publish them in print form. Each article would represent a chapter (unless it’s a really short article). There are hundreds of thousands of pages of content available in the Public Domain in magazine form just waiting to be re-purposed. The goal here is to create print books that people actually want to buy and read rather than to just publish content for the sake of “getting it out there.” CreateSpace also enables you to publish full-color print books as well. The cost per unit is higher, but with the millions of photographs and illustrations available in the Public Domain, the opportunities here are endless.
Need ideas on topics to focus on? Here is a hot one…we are just now entering the timeframe of the 150 anniversary of the Civil War. For the next three years, there will be a LOT of celebrations and events related to this country-changing historical event! Capitalize on it!
As you know, this weekend marks Father’s Day, a special time to honor our Dad’s. If your Dad is still living, make sure you let him know what he means to you. If he has passed on like my Dad, take a few moments to reflect on one special moment you and your Dad spent together. For me, I’m going out to shoot photos, just like he and I used to do together!
To celebrate this special day, I decided to do something special…offer a special 25% discount off of many of my most popular products…some of which I’ve never offered at a discount before now! It’s the perfect time to invest in your business and future by investing in yourself…and for the next two days, you can invest less and gain more!
Here is what to do next:
- Click on the link (or links) to the product(s) you want to invest in and redeem your 25% discount.
- Click the order button on the Sales Page
- On the Order Page, enter FATHER into the Coupon Code area below the total and click “Apply.”
- The discounted price should then be reflected in the total.
- Finish the checkout process. That’s it!
If you’re like me, you love to learn anything new that will help move your business and income to the next level. This weekend is the perfect opportunity
to do that and save some cash!
Committed to your ongoing success!
PS: On Tuesday, I’m revealing all my secrets to creating amazing book and product cover designs. Watch for the announcement. This will be a first!
Here’s a fun challenge for you…
I’ve been speaking at Simple 3: Video Velocity this weekend in Anaheim, CA this weekend and the hands-on workshops have been awesome. Challenging the attendees to actually DO what we’re teaching so that, in the end, they actually have finished videos uploaded and available on YouTube and on their website. Some of them are doing it kicking and screaming…lol…but they’re getting their videos done. It’s very cool.
And that brings me to the challenge…
I’ve been talking about the importance and need to create your own videos. It’s not a suggestion…it’s a necessity if you’re serious about building an online business. Have you created any videos that are actually online yet? If yes…awesome! Produce more! If no, what are you waiting for?
I want to challenge you to create your first (or a new) video TODAY and post the link on my blog so I can see it. I want to know you’re getting this and DOING it! Plus…it could be fun. Now…about the video you’re going to create…it can be ANY kind of video, such as:
- A Live Action Video: Talk into your video camera, flip cam, smart phone, etc. Share a one-minute tip you can share with the world that can help the viewer.
- A Screencast Video: Create a quick Powerpoint video on your product or service, or again, to share a valuable tip or insight.
- A Mixed Media Video: Use Animoto or other video program to create a video with photos, text, music, etc. that shares something helpful, fun or uplifting.
- A Live Broadcast Video: Setup, broadcast and record a brief video on UStream where you share something of value to your audience (or potential audience).
Once your video is created, upload it to YouTube and share the link in the comments section below of this article. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! And, by the way, if you haven’t figured this out yet, I am offering you exposure to your message on my blog at no cost. Also, for everyone who takes up my challenge and completes it, I will give you a special bonus…full access to my Master DVD Templates and my Master Powerpoint Templates (which currently isn’t available).
I also want to remind you that, this weekend only, my Limitless Video Content course is being specially discounted just for you! Instead of the regular price of $197, you can grab it this weekend at 61% off…just $77! It’s the last time I’ll be offering it at this price…ever. Don’t miss out. It’s one of the best courses I’ve ever taught.
So here is what to do next…
Pick up your copy of Limitless Video Content at the Weekend Special offer.
Have fun creating your video!
Create your video and get it uploaded to YouTube today!
Go to my blog and post the link (once I see you’ve posted your video, I’ll send you the download info for your bonus.
Now get busy…grin.
